Bart Thrupp

Bart is a storyteller at heart. With his Folk/Pop melodies, Aussie charm and songs that everyone can relate to, he captivates audiences everywhere he goes. Bart’s one-man-band stage setup is quite unique. Combining many instruments, he simultaneously juggles acoustic guitar, vocals, stomp box, foot tambourine, and yes, even cowbell.

After being approached by CFM Radio, Bart’s live recording of Girl in the Fishbowl began receiving regular airplay; the popularity of the song, lead to recording the 3-track single “Girl In The Fishbowl”. A successful hometown CD Launch, Bart had The Irish Club(Toowoomba), packed, singing along and stomping with enthusiasm.

The most recent project Bart has been working on is the Music Video for “Girl In The Fishbowl”. He was lucky enough to score Highfields Plaza as the main location for the shoot! Highfields Plaza is the location the song was written and his inspiration, the girl from the florist(Fishbowl). The “Girl In The Fishbowl” Music Video was officially released on the 1st of October 2011 and had over 600 views on youtube in the first day!

Bart has scored a number of supports this year, including Clare Bowditch, Kev Carmody, Dave Faulkner, Stephen Cummings, Daryl Braithwaite and Rose Tattoo. He will continue touring Australia to support the release of his Debut Solo CD Single “Girl in the Fishbowl”.
